Correspondence, account books (3 v., 1859-64), and diaries (17 v., 1873-92) of Emily C. (Minton) Pullman, primarily letters from her children on personal and family matters while they were at school in the 1860s and 1870s and during the later years of her life. Plus other letters, clippings, etc., of and about her children: Frank, Royal, Helen, Emma, James, George, and Albert. Includes approximately 75 Frank Pullman letters with his mother and others; also random items on the Minton family and their genealogy. Includes Alice C. Minton's letter (1871 Oct. 22, 4 p.) to Frank W. Pullman, in which she describes family experiences during the Great Chicago fire of 1871, notes that Mayor Ogden's house is the only one standing on the north side of the city, and that Col. Wood opened his Globe Theater last night. Encloses her Oct. 1st letter (4 p.) on routine personal and family matters. Correspondence and other documents are arranged chronologically.
